thank yous!

I sent out thank you notes last week to all of you who attended (or attended in spirit!) and gave me such lovely gifts! Two of the notes did get sent back to me due to my own silly clerical errors, so if you haven't yet gotten your note, don't worry they are back in the mail and you'll get them soon.

Shower Time!

today I had a surprise wedding shower! It was lots of fun and I was so happy (and touched) that so many people came out. It was a really fun day, and my mom worked so hard to make every detail perfect. Even my niece, rebecca put in a ton of work, and made beautiful beaded napkin rings that impressed everyone!. The food, of course made by my mom, was delicious, the company was divine and the setting perfect. I had a great time and now I truly CANNOT WAIT to celebrate mine and Geoff's big day with our loving friends and family. Thank you all :-)

Registering for Gifts

we've started registering, finally. We had talked about going to places off the beaten track, or at least places that weren't set up for gift registries, like little places in china town for our casual flatware, and cute little boutiques in brooklyn for ceramics and pottery and whatnots. but, we're not the kind of people who spend our days hunting up and down little streets all over the boroughs looking for neat finds. we're busy, yes, and we also are lazy when we're not. so, we took the typical route. ah well. what can you do...

We'd like to apologize if your name was left off or mispelled under the list of Wedding Party on the site. The errors and omissions should now be fixed. Any wounded parties will be happy to know no one has really seen the website yet. It will only go public with the invitations.

And We're Off!!!!

Now that Sara is done (finally!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) with her first year of grad school, and Geoff is winding down with all the craziness of adjuncting full time, they are starting to plan the wedding.

and you thought it wouldn't happen!

Lots of things were taken care of during the year, miraculously - we still have no idea how much of anything got done - but there are still lots and lots of things yet to be done.

We'll be blogging here infrequently, but you can still check here for rants, updates, and information on the big day. Also, feel free to comment here, if you need to make suggestions, have a question or just want to say hi. This goes double for the wedding party.

Here are some things we will be getting done in the coming weeks:

-Tuxedos for the wedding party & the groom
-The Wedding cake
-REGISTERING!!!!!
-Finding a place for a bachelor/ett party.

That's it for now. At least I got one more thing I can cross of the wedding To Do list (not that blogging is important, but it WAS on the list...)
